Gigolo

Six Times European Championship Pony
Gigolo is one of the most successful FEI dressage ponies of all time

In July 2015 we were lucky enough to have Gigolo come onto our yard.

Within a very short space of time Izzy and Gigs developed a partnership that would ultimately see them through to the 2016 European Championships.

Gigolo is probably one of the most successful FEI ponies of all times, having an international career spanning 13 years, competing in 6 European Championships with 5 different riders.

Gigolo and Isobel won their in their first Premier League outing at Myerscough in March 2016 and were selected to represent Great Britain at Keysoe CDI in April 2016.

They won the Freestyle at that competition on a score of 74.5% – which remained the 2nd highest GB score of 2016 and indeed equals his previous highest international score ever.

The highest score of all the ponies, juniors and young riders at the show and indeed the highest score Gigolo has achieved in international competition.

Isobel and Gigolo represented Great Britain at both Saumur and Roosendaal. Latterly hitting two personal bests in both the team and individual tests.

At final trials Gigolo scored 70.45% and was selected reserve for the European Team.

Due to unfortunate circumstances he was eventually taken to Vilhelmsbourg. The Oldest pony with the Youngest rider in the whole dressage competition.

Izzy and Gigolo finished the year off with a 75.77% at Keysoe HP show before christmas. His highest ever score in a team competition.

They will campaign the 2017 season beginning at CDIOP Saumur.
