Charmeur (Florencio x Trendy elite by Jazz) is the winner of the 4 year old 2011 PAVO cup final with a very very good score indeed.
Bringing 91.5 points forward from the first round and 92 from the semi finals, the test riders of Claudia Ruscher and Sander Marijnissen gave him 95 and 100 respectively making him the 2011 PAVO 4 year old champion.
Taking the second spot was Chinook (Vivaldi x Sarita keur pref by Havidoff) who, as a result of his performance in the PAVO cup final, is to be put forward for testing at the Autumn KWPN grading session.
Scoring 89.5 from the first round, with 88 in the second and then 100 and 90 from the two riders.
He was one of only 3 horses in the entire PAVO to be awarded a perfect ridden score.
His full brother Desperados was approved at the last inspection.
Quite remarkably the podium belonged entirely to Emmelie Scholtens, who also took third spot on the KWPN approved stallion Connaisseur (Con Amore x Donnerhall)
A great achievement for the Van Olst team with their super Lord Leatherdale son Chippendale who finished fourth. The second of the Lord Leatherdale crosses in the final shake down, and the fourth Lord Leatherdale in the finals overall.
Chapter Leatherdale (Lord Leatherdale x Negro) finished 10th.
Those of you familiar with our web site articles will be aware that this particular cross is something we tipped to be a serious producer back at the beginning of the year.
In the 5 year old finals, it was another win for Emmelie Scholtens, who produced the Florencio x Lord Sinclair gelding Borencio to the highest rider marks of the day – both agreeing that Borencio deserved maximum 100 marks.
A double win for the progeny of Florencio.
Emmelie finished in 8th place at WBFSH championship in Verden on this horse just a few days before.
KWPN approved stallion IPS Bon Bravour (Painted Black x Odette keur pref by Chronos) and Tom Franckx, previously 3rd in the world championships just the weekend before managed another excellent performance to finish second.
Boston STH (Johnson x Quattro) and Hans Peter Minderhoud made the final place in the winners circle in third following on from his tenth place at the world championships.
