We knew it was coming. Ber arrived at our yard a little over 2 months ago and settled in well. His first score in his first even competition was 74% – respectable but only a sign of things to come.
He moved on to Addington Premier League, and in the most difficult 5 year old test posted an even more impressive 76.4% to qualify directly for the British Young Horse Championships at Hickstead CDI show in July. Show number 2.
With a couple more weeks of training under his belt the final wish of the season in the UK was to qualify for the Hartpury Festival. 83.2% was the verdict of the judges – List 1 Steph Cooper, and international GP rider Rhett Bird.
Scoring a 9 for his way of going – both judges commented that there was no other mark to give him.
See him at Hartpury on the gala evening on Saturday in the SHEARWATER YOUNG DRESSAGE HORSE CHAMPIONSHIP
