A fantastic result for the still 4 year old stallion Bandit II
Competing today at Hartpury in the UK national winter championships he posted a score of 65.71% and was beaten into 11th spot by collective difference only.
With less than 2% separating the 5th – 12th place horses the competition was tight.
Bandit scored some 8′s for his work – but with some lower marks for his halts and showing a little tension in the walk that cost him a top 5 finish. Understandable considering he is not even 5 yet!
“Its encouraging to see how he handled himself’” said Nicky. “He was just so well behaved. He shrank a little as he entered the huge arena – but for not even 5 yet what more could I ask of him”
Amazing runs in the Carl Hester masterclass
What an extra honour to find that Amazing – found, broken and produced by Nicky was choosen by his new owner, Carl Hester, to run in his Gala evening masterclass.
Text messages flooded in to us saying how wonderful he looked and how proud we must be.
We were absolutely proud beyond words.
A real shame that we could not be there to see him, but we leave first thing in the morning for Holland to see the Van Olsts stallion show and then look at some ridden horses and a couple of unbelievable broodmares.
