The Foal (NVK) championships was won by Gregwaard (Florencio x Wintana Waard elite by Jazz pref – motherline 213), bred by Luuk van Rijn from Nieuwland, who was described by the jury chairman Petro Trommelen as “a very well developed colt that moves correctly and with a good topline. He stands out for his agility and uphill ground covering in his canter.”

As a future stallion prospect Gregwaard has already been part sold to two stallion owners, Nico Witte and De Dalhoeve.

This cross replicates the Florencio x Jazz of Charmeur – winner of the 4 year old PAVO cup final.

The filly Giulilanta (Jazz x Wilanta ster by Flemmingh) was named the reserve champion. This filly, bred by A Vogelaar and J Tubers from Surhuisterveen is now owned by Emmy de Jeu. She is a long lined and well developed offspring of Jazz. “Gulilanta has a beautiful front end and trots with plenty of scope and a strong hind leg – but the canter is a little too flat.”

Apache son GStar (x Anique ster by Jetset-D) bred by M Tijssen from Lienden was placed third and said to be a “lively, long lined and harmonious colt”

D.Obertje was the champion of the 3 year old dressage mares in the 2011 NMK

In the mare championships (NMK) the gorgeous D.Obertje (San Remo x O.Obertje keur pref x Contango pref), bred by Hubb van Helvoirt was named the champion of the 3 year old dressage horses.

Sold in the Elite Foal sales in Borculo in 2008, this daughter of the prolific O.Obertje (Contango x Cordola ster pref by Amor) who has also produced the KWPN approved stallion Tango (Jazz) and the keur mare Zhara-Obertje (Jazz) ranked 80th on the KWPN list 2010/11, was described as having a strong topline, great length in the neck and a special way of moving.

Reserve champion was described as the “best mover” in the group. Dolly provisional keur prok (Ziesto x Tiffany’s Monday by Osmium – motherline 48) moved with exceptional strength but maybe the walk should be a little but freer.

Third spot was Djuice Geuzenof (Jazz x Mystiek keur pref by Fruhling).
